A proposed plan for a new Cobblestone Hotel franchise has received approval from the DeForest Village Board, according to the DeForest Times-Tribune. The development agreement, approved at a board meeting on Dec. 5, is the first of several steps to launch the project.
The plan features a four-story, 36,944-square-foot hotel on a three-acre site fronting Interstate 90/94 with access off River Road. It includes 60 guest rooms, a Wissota Chophouse, a conference boardroom, and additional amenities like guest laundry, an indoor pool, and a fitness center.
The hotel would be situated in close proximity to golf driving range PinSeekers and the DeForest Athletic Complex. Plans include walking path access to both attractions.
Cobblestone Hotels is the only Wisconsin-based hotel developer in the country. It operates 160 locations across 29 states.
The project’s next steps would entail the submission of a conditional use permit, a certified survey map review, and a final development plan.
