The Pine Cone restaurant in DeForest has closed after 40 years, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. A note on the door of the restaurant, at 6162 Hwy. 51, blamed the state and federal government for the closure but the owner has since recanted the message and stated the lease for the business was up.
