Blue Star Dairy Farms, a third-generation family farm in DeForest, will host this year’s Breakfast on the Farm, set for Saturday, June 8, according to a recent press release. For 45 years, Dane County Breakfast on the Farm organizers have selected a local farm to welcome thousands of visitors for a meal and encourage them to learn where their food comes from.

Blue Star Dairy Farms has been family-owned and operated for several generations, starting with the first generation of the Meinholz family in 1946. Currently, the farm is a family partnership between two third-generation brothers, Craig and Brian Meinholz, and long-time employee Jim Hahn. Blue Star Dairy Farms has two locations, one in DeForest and one in Arlington.

In addition to having a meal on the farm, attendees are encouraged to explore the farm, enjoy live entertainment, participate in educational activities, and sample local Wisconsin dairy products.

The event is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased at the farm on the day of the event. For a detailed program of scheduled activities, event admission prices, directions, and more, click here.
