Trustee Colleen Little is the new DeForest village president, The Star reported.
The vote to solidify the move happened in late April and came after former Village President Jane Cahill Wolfgram resigned from the position on March 5.
With Little’s appointment, the board will now have to fill her vacant Village Board seat, which she retained in the past spring election.
