“DCHS’s Wildlife Center receives no federal, state or local funding. Instead, we rely entirely on the generosity of our community to fund this lifesaving work,” Lisa Bernard, DCHS development and communications supervisor, said in a statement

Donations can be made online, and DCHS will run its Wildlife Baby Shower from April 4-11, posting to its social media channels about the work it does. Supporters can also purchase items on the humane society’s Amazon Wishlist.
