CNBC reports Danish pension operator AkademikerPension is exiting the U.S. Treasurys to the tune of $100 million driven by “poor government finances” and the U.S.’s debt crisis, according to Anders Schelde, AkademikerPension’s investing chief.
President Donald Trump’s threats over purchasing Greenland were not given as a reason, but Schelde said “that didn’t make it more difficult to take the decision.”
The pension operator is expected to exit the holding by the end of January.
