Summer tradition Dane Dances! will return to Madison this August, according to NBC15. The free night of music and dancing will take place every Friday of the month.
The 2023 event, called “A Season of Togetherness,” is free to attend with no tickets required. The first bands will perform each night from 6–7:30 p.m. and the second bands from 8–9:30 p.m., according to the event website.
Events take place on the Monona Terrace rooftop, which opens at 4:30 p.m. Seating is limited. Food and cocktails from TLC Catering, Lake Vista Café, La Taguara, and Melly Mells Catering is available at 5 p.m.
Band lineups as well as volunteer, sponsorship, and donation opportunities can be found online.
