Dane County has thrown its hat in the ring, hoping to lure the next Amazon plant and up to 50,000 “high-paying” jobs to the area.
The Madison Region Economic Partnership (MadREP) submitted a proposal, joining more than 100 other communities vying for the opportunity.
With Amazon-owned ShopBop already located in Madison, officials hope they could have an in, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
Amazon promises to invest over $5 billion in construction and is hoping to secure 8 million square feet of office space wherever it lands.
