Dane County vehicle sales tick up in December

Dane County car and truck sales ticked up again in December, though vehicle purchases declined overall in south-central Wisconsin. According to Reg-Trak of Waterloo, the nine-county region saw vehicle sales drop 0.46% to 3,038, compared to 3,052 a year earlier. But year-to-date through December, regional sales were up 13.15%.

In Dane County, new car and truck sales (1,632) increased 3.42% compared to December 2011 (1,578). Year-to-date through December, Dane County’s new vehicle sales were up 14.65% over the same period in 2011.
