The Dane County Board of Supervisors encourages county residents to participate in the upcoming hearings and meetings where department requests, the county executive’s budget proposal and county board supervisor budget amendments will be reviewed and deliberated.
The 2026 budget review process kicks off this week with three public hearings focused on department budget requests, where residents will have an opportunity to hear directly from county departments about their funding priorities for the next calendar year.
Department budget request hearings will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 9 and Wednesday, Sept. 10 in the City-County Building, Room 201, at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 11 at the Alliant Energy Center at 5:30 p.m. Click here for a list of the departments to be focused on at each hearing.
All hearings will be available virtually via Zoom.
