Dane County Executive Joe Parisi has released a 2021 budget proposal for a $615.5 million operating budget and a $71.6 million capital budget, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.
The budgets aim to protect services and employees in the county from the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The budget proposal would increase property taxes by 3.4% and taxes on the average home would increase by $30.18. The Dane County Board will begin budget deliberations the week of Nov. 9.
