The Dane County Regional Airport had its busiest summer on record from May to August 2025, according to a county statement.
Total passenger volume reached 854,330, up from 814,545 during the same time period in 2024.
“These numbers reflect a thriving regional economy and a community that values accessible, high-quality air service,” Dane County Executive Melissa Agard said in a statement. “Dane County Regional Airport is not only connecting our residents to the world but also connecting visitors and business opportunities to Dane County.”
The airport expanded seasonal nonstop service and set records for passenger totals in July and August. Its busiest week in history was in August.
BizTimes reports that the airport is the third-largest full-time employer in Dane County and generates about $600 million annually in economic spending in the area.
The airport has experienced five consecutive years of passenger growth.
