The Dane County Board of Supervisors last week recognized Veterans Day, Nov. 11. The resolution presented to the board acknowledges the 350,000 veterans in the state of Wisconsin, and an estimated 23,000 in Dane County.
The resolution also emphasizes the importance of Operation Green Light, a National Association of Counties (NACo) initiative that encourages counties, parishes, and boroughs “to show appreciation and support for veterans and raise awareness of veterans’ issues by illuminating buildings with a green light from Nov. 4–11, 2024.”
