The Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Byrne Statewide Crisis Intervention Program awarded Dane County with $100,000 to expand services for victims of gun violence, Channel 3000 reports.
The grant will fund an initiative between the Dane County District Attorney’s Office, the nonprofit Focused Interruption, and Public Health Madison & Dane County’s Violence Intervention Team to provide immediate crisis assistance and long-term support to those affected by gun violence.
