Dane County Executive Joe Parisi announced awards totaling $402,500 for Dane County PARC & Ride grant recipients, according to a recent press release. The program provides matching grants to communities interested in expanding trail interconnectivity throughout Dane County or developing new regional bicycle playgrounds. Municipalities were eligible to receive grants matching up to 50% of a project’s costs to offset bike trail design, engineering, and construction expenses.

The village of Windsor will be awarded $215,000 for its Charlie Grimm Road Boardwalk project, and the city of Madison will be awarded $187,500 for its Country Grove Park Bike Trail project.
