Dane County has a new $4 million recycling center that will extend the life of the county landfill by 30 years and divert tons of construction and demolition waste from the landfill. The transfer station will now collect that waste, compact it, and haul it off to be recycled. The new center, in the Rodefeld Landfill on Highway 12 across from Yahara Golf Course, will also allow the county’s Clean Sweep Program to operate year-round.
