Dane County offers discounted rain barrels for businesses, residents

According to WKOW, rain barrels are now available to Dane County residents and businesses at discounted prices.

The offering comes from Dane County and the Madison Area Municipal Stormwater Partnership in an effort to decrease the amount of contaminated runoff that reaches local waters.

Each barrel has a 50-gallon capacity and is available for half of retail price; further reimbursements are available upon eligibility.

Barrels can be picked up at the Middleton Recyclagring Center and DeForest Yard Waste Collection Site during business hours.
