The latest report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association indicates an increase in Dane County single-family and condominium sales in November, although inventory has dropped again. There were 641 sales in November compared to 630 in November 2018, an increase of 1.7 percent, but inventory fell year over year by 3.3 percent. All of that has pushed the Dane County median sale price to $304,900, an increase of 8.9 percent compared to November 2018 when it was $279,950.

Statewide over the past 12 months, the tightest supply levels were for homes selling for between $125,000 and just under $200,000, noted WRA Chairman Steve Beers in the latest report. “Starter homes sell quickly, so buyers and sellers need to be ready to move quickly once those homes hit the market.”
