The Dane County Farmers’ Market will run for the last time this season on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 6:15 a.m.–1:45 p.m. on the Capitol Square, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
The Holiday Markets at Monona Terrace will begin the following Saturday, Nov. 18, and will continue on Dec. 2, Dec. 9, and Dec. 16 from 7:30 a.m. until noon. The markets will be held in Exhibition Hall B on all dates except for Dec. 9, when the event will be held in Ballroom ABCD.
The Holiday Markets will include produce options such as Wisconsin-grown cranberries, potatoes, and vegetables; baked goods; a wide selection of meats; and artisan cheeses. Locally-produced soaps, candles, wreaths, and dried flowers will be available in December as well.
Terese Allen, author of Dane County Farmers’ Market Cookbook: Local Foods, Global Flavors, will be signing book copies from 8:15 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at the Dec. 2 and Dec. 9 markets. The cookbook will be for sale at the information booth there.
