The Dane County Farmers’ Market, which loops around the state Capitol building, will return starting April 11 and take place each Saturday through Nov. 14.
The market runs from 6:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. On July 11 the market will be held at Breese Stevens Field from 7 a.m. to noon due to another event at the same location.
The final Winter Farmers’ Market is this Saturday, April 4, at Garver Feed Mill from 8 a.m. to noon.
Markets contain fresh produce, locally baked items, plenty of cheese and meat and much more thanks to the 100-150 vendors.
SNAP/EBT services are usable, and the benefits will be eligible for the Double Dollars nutrition program. That means those who use SNAP/EBT can receive up to $20 matched dollars every market to spend on fresh produce.
