The 2025 Dane County Fair has returned and will run from Thursday, July 17-Sunday, July 20 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
The annual event draws visitors from across the state to bolster tourism in Dane County, which recently hit new records.
The fair also provides outreach opportunities through The American Red Cross, Operation Homefront, public libraries, Madison School & Community Recreation, area day cares and more.Â
This year’s event will feature family-friendly attractions including carnival rides, live entertainment, a variety of food options, a petting zoo and competitions showcasing local youth. The event works to underscore the significant role of agriculture across the region.
Daily fair highlights will include:

Hometown Hero Day (July 17) — Themed activities and admission specials recognizing military members, first responders and community heroes;

Kids Day (July 18) — A full day of free children’s activities, tractor rides, animal encounters, magic shows and youth livestock shows, with County Executive Melissa Agard in attendance;

Farm Fresh Day (July 19) — Hands-on agricultural activities, goat and dairy shows, a farm scavenger hunt and the Fabulous Farm Babe Tractor Parade;

Family Day (July 20) — Dog agility demonstrations, 4-H graduation and awards, multicultural entertainment and the final Globe of Death stunt show.
