Beginning May 26, phase one of reopening all businesses including restaurants, gyms, and retail establishments requires these businesses to operate at 25% capacity to practice social distancing, according to an order from Public Health Madison and Dane County.

Additionally, public health requirements state that indoor gatherings at commercial facilities should be limited to 50 or fewer people. Schools and public playgrounds are to remain closed.

The county will remain in phase one for a minimum of 14 days. Criteria will be regularly assessed to determine if the county can move to phase two of reopening.
