Dane County Credit Union has suspended new mortgage loans until further notice, citing “personnel challenges,” according to an article in the Wisconsin State Journal.
The credit union’s president, Jon Lowrey, said sudden changes in the credit union’s ability to process documentation led to the hiatus, adding that the business is quickly working to bring new, qualified personnel on board.
The credit union’s website currently offers four types of mortgages and lists 19 mortgage originators who are employed there. Dane County Credit Union’s 14,848 members reportedly were not told of the suspension initially.
