Repeated complaints to Public Health Madison and Dane County have prompted a letter to area bars and restaurants warning that the agency may start issuing fines for violations to its public health orders, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. A fine of up to $1,000 could be issued for any establishment that is operating outside of the 25% indoor capacity of Emergency Order No. 9.
Taverns could face additional restrictions since they are not allowed to have patrons inside the building except to order, pick up, or pay.
