Culver’s opens 500th restaurant

With the opening of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Wixom, Mich. locations, Prairie du Sac-based Culver’s now has 500 restaurants across 21 states. Its first location was in Sauk City. Last year, Culver’s opened 28 restaurants, including three in Florida, and it hopes to add another 35 in 2014. Nine family restaurants remain. The others are owned and operated by independent franchisees. The company celebrates its 30^th anniversary this year.
