A new study by CoworkingCafe, a listing service for flex workspace solutions, ranks Madison fifth in the nation for workforce growth.

CoworkingCafe analyzed 102 U.S. cities in the study, measuring employment growth, working-age population change, migration inflows and remote work rates.

The cities were then analyzed for their coworking activities to see how those shifts translated into flexible workspace developments.

Some of the highlights include Madison recording a 29% influx of working-age residents in 2023, the city’s working-age population growing 5% and remote workers doubling from 12,254 in 2020 to 28,865 in 2023.
