Dane County supervisors are urging the removal of dogs from a Blue Mounds breeder under investigation for alleged concerning conditions, WMTV15 reports.
Introduced this month, Resolution 119 asks the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to revoke Ridglan Farms’ license and place its animals into protective custody while state investigations are underway.
The facility, which breeds beagles and other dogs for medical research, has drawn criticism from advocacy groups. Earlier this year, a Dane County judge appointed a special prosecutor to look into allegations of animal cruelty.
