Eleven incumbents of the Dane County Board will not run for reelection, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. Candidate paperwork filed last week indicated that 30% of the current board won’t be running, and unopposed newcomers are running for eight of the open seats. Reasons given for not running include personal ones, pandemic challenges, and changes from redistricting.
