The Dane County Board has approved a major solar farm that would allow the county to move to all renewable energy, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.
The board voted unanimously to authorize an agreement for Alliant Energy to build a 16.5-megawatt solar farm on county-owned property in the town of Cottage Grove. State regulators still need to approve the project.
