The Dane County Board of Supervisors is poised to approve a $15 million program to help small businesses through the economic hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a report from The Capital Times. The funding is part of a grant program administered by Dane Buy Local, which now is in its third round. Last year, the program was started with $800,000 in county dollars received through the CARES Act. To identify local businesses most in need of help, Dane Buy Local will partner with the Latino Chamber of Commerce, Madison’s Black Chamber of Commerce, and the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corp.
