Madison’s City Council unanimously approved Beitler Real Estate Services’ plans for Judge Doyle Square, a $170 million project that will include 354 apartments, a 250-room hotel, retail, office space, and parking in downtown Madison. The public’s portion, $43 million, includes $24 million in tax incremental financing.
The development will encompass two downtown blocks that currently house the Madison Municipal Building and the Government East parking garage. Construction should begin in 2017 and some approvals, such as land use considerations, are still needed.
