A bank, two fast-food restaurants, a car wash and a four story apartment building will be constructed by early 2026 at the intersection of Fitchrona and McKee roads as part of the Jamestown Quarry Project, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
The redevelopment project will convert 32.5 acres of former quarry land into retail and housing over the coming years. It will include a roughly $60 million apartment building with 273 units, set to open this fall on the northeastern corner of the site. The building will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom units and 453 parking spaces.
A Chase Bank, a Chick-fil-A, a McDonald’s and a Crew Carwash are set to follow early next year on about seven acres at the site’s southwestern end.
Fitchburg Partners, which is developing Jamestown Quarry, aims to finish around $3.5 million worth of public improvements — such as grading, utilities and a new services road — at the retail properties in the next few months to allow construction on the four coming businesses to commence.
Plans are not yet finalized for the remaining 19 or so acres of the site. The next stages reportedly may include additional housing, retail or a mix of the two.
