Three Wisconsin chefs will compete in a special episode of Wisconsin Foodie, according to a story from the Wisconsin State Journal. Gregory León, chef/owner of Milwaukee’s Amilinda restaurant; Tarik Moody, the digital director and DJ at 88Nine Radio Milwaukee and co-host of a food segment called This Bites; and Lauren Montelbano, a vegan chef in Madison who competed last fall in a special taping of Wisconsin Public Television’s Wisconsin Foodie, which will air at 7 p.m. on March 10. The cooking competition program gave each chef $60 and 60 minutes to shop at the Dane County Farmers’ Market and prepare a dish that represented them as a chef and also reflected on the market. The chefs used the kitchen of L’Etoile restaurant in downtown Madison and the dishes were judged by L’Etoile chef/co-owner Tory Miller and Wisconsin Foodie co-host Luke Zahm.
