Construction of Maurer’s Urban Market has begun on Madison’s south side, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.
The grocery store will be 24,000 square feet and be located at the ground level of a 150-unit apartment building at the corner of South Park and Cedar streets.
Kristi Maurer signed a 15-year lease with the city in late 2024. She said she expects the full-service grocery store to be open by the end of the summer.
