The River Food Pantry has begun construction on a new 32,000-square-foot facility after raising over $11 million, WMTV15 reports. The new space will be triple the size of its current warehouse.

The facility will help the organization meet demand that reached an all-time high in 2024. It will feature a commercial kitchen, storage areas, and a drive-thru. It will also include a solar panel array and a rain garden.

The new location is anticipated to open in late 2025.
