The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, a conservative advocacy group, has filed a lawsuit in state circuit court challenging Gov. Tony Evers’ latest order in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The lawsuit argues the governor overstepped his executive powers by issuing two separate coronavirus-related states of emergency in Wisconsin, according to a report from Wisconsin Public Radio.
If successful, the lawsuit filed in Polk County on behalf of three Wisconsin residents would overturn the state’s mask mandate.
