Wisconsin’s Conservation Congress will hold its annual spring meetings online for a third straight year, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The event allows state residents to weigh in on dozens of natural resources issues, including deer hunting and regulation of toxic chemicals. The decision to keep the event online was made in early January of this year. In 2020, the Conservation Congress used an online survey to collect feedback and drew record participation of nearly 65,000 people. The Conservation Congress was created in 1934 as an independent citizen organization to advise the state’s Natural Resources Board.
