There are currently 38 companies eyeing up the area for possible relocation, according to the Madison Region Economic Partnership (MadREP) in a Wisconsin State Journal story.
While just a fraction of these site searches typically settle on a site, the good news is that it is a marked increase in interested companies compared to previous years.
Most site selectors are seeking manufacturing space and look for “shovel ready” sites. In MadREP’s eight-county Madison region, eight such sites currently exist.
