Community Shares of Wisconsin is running its annual workplace giving campaign now through November. Local businesses and organizations can support nearly 70 local nonprofits working on voting rights, criminal justice reform and more.

“Like no other time in recent history, our basic rights and freedoms are under attack. Your donation during workplace giving is an investment in nonprofits that are challenging systems and holding decision-makers accountable,” Cheri Dubiel, Community Shares of Wisconsin’s executive director, said in a statement.

Participating businesses and organizations include UW Credit Union, Wisconsin Foundation & Alumni Association and more. When an individual donates, 100% of the gift goes directly to the nonprofit organization, and it is tax-deductible.

The State of Wisconsin’s Partners in Giving campaign, which began on Oct. 6, is Community Shares’ largest giving campaign. Employees from the state, the University of Wisconsin, the city of Madison and Dane County all participate.
