Noel Quintana, who owns the downtown restaurant Señor Machetes with his wife, Ofelia Garcia Anchondo, was detained at O’Hare International Airport by Immigration and Customs Enforcement while trying to fly back to Madison on Jan. 27.
Garcia Anchondo is an American citizen and Quintana is not a citizen but has a permanent resident card (Green Card).
A fundraiser will be held at Machetes at 121 East Main St. on Friday from 4:30-9 p.m. There will be food and drink, snacks and dinner. There is also a GoFundMe for the family.
It’s not known why Quintana was detained.

According to an online detainee database, he is being held in Indiana.
