The United Way 2020 Community Fundraising Campaign raised $17.8 million, despite challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a statement from the organization.

Thousands of individuals and businesses across Dane County contributed to the campaign that raised more than $2.3 million for emergency response in addition to the annual community campaign for ongoing emergencies, recovery, and “reimagination.” Funding will support services and strategies to help local families, individuals, and nonprofits overcome barriers, decrease racial disparities, and increase economic stability.
