The $98 million AnchorBank project, a long-in-development plan from Urban Land Interests to transform two blocks downtown, is nearing final approvals. The last part of the project, a nine-story, 88-unit apartment building with ground-floor retail, goes before the Madison Urban Design Commission on April 22. If the project is approved, construction could begin this summer and be completed in two years, according to a story in The Cap Times.
Plans have already been approved for a redesign of the AnchorBank building on the square and for a 548-stall underground parking structure across the street.
