A new tip line launched Wednesday by the College Sports Commission will facilitate anonymous reporting of potential violations of the rules governing how players are paid for use of their name, image and likeness, according to the Associated Press.

Created out of a $2.8 billion House settlement that has reshaped college sports by letting players earn money, the CSC analyzes information about third-party NIL deals worth $600 or more that are submitted through an app called NIL Go.

Last month, it said it had approved nearly 6,100 deals worth about $35.4 million.

Bryan Seeley, the commission’s CEO, said the new reporting line will be a key method to gather information about the thousands of deals the CSC is overseeing.

The CSC has contracted with technology company RealResponse to allow the commission to follow up with whistleblowers while shielding their identities.

RealResponse works with various colleges, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, NFL Players Association, Major League Baseball and other sports groups.
