Former Columbus mayor and businessman Michael Eisenga is accused of defrauding Alliant Credit Union of Rolling Meadows, Illinois by using fraudulent documents to secure a $6.9 million loan, according to a report from Wisconsin State Journal.

The federal bank fraud indictment alleges that Eisenga applied for the loan by claiming a Columbus property was under a 20-year lease with Festival Foods and the lease was guaranteed by Supervalue Holdings Inc. The lease and the guarantee were not genuine, according to the charges.
