Idaho-based Coldwater Creek, Inc. will close all of its stores by early summer, including seven in Wisconsin and one in Middleton’s Greenway Station. The company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy after efforts to sell were unsuccessful.
Coldwater Creek is a women’s apparel and accessories retailer that employs about 6,000 nationwide. The company has reportedly not shown a profit since 2007. It listed assets of $279 million and debts of $361 million in its Chapter 11 filings. Going-out-of-business sales will begin in May.
