Madison cocktail bar Imaginary Factory, which has items like fat-washed cocktails, has made it to the finalist round of the James Beard Awards, the Cap Times reported.
Founder Hastings Cameron opened the establishment in 2021 and is a finalist in the outstanding professional in the cocktail service category.
As far as statewide James Beard drinks honors go, Sway Brewing and Blending in Baileys Harbor is nominated for the outstanding wine and other beverages program. Sway is a brewery known for using local ingredients in its beers like foraged yarrow and local fruits.
Winners will be announced on June 15 at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards Ceremony.
