The Clean Lakes Alliance will bring together community leaders, scientists, residents and more to discuss the health of the Yahara lakes and actions needed to improve and protect the watershed.
The 2025 State of the Lakes report will also be released at the event. The report provides an annual assessment of water quality across the Greater Madison lakes.
Some of what will be discussed on May 13 include efforts to reduce runoff, specifically runoff carrying phosphorus and E. coli into local waterways.
Featured speakers include Thomas Redbird IV of the Ho-Chunk Nation Water Spirit Clan; Aaracgeį Sarah Lemieux-White Eagle, District 3 legislator and of the Ho-Chunk Nation; Dane County Executive Melissa Agard and more.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and is at the Edgewater at 1001 Wisconsin Place.
