To revive the failed Owl Creek neighborhood housing subdivision, Madison will sell the first of 45 vacant building lots, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.
The isolated, lower-income neighborhood was created near the Beltline and Highway 51 in the mid-2000s. The subdivision consists of 94 lots and less than half of the 39-acre site has been developed. The city has purchased the 51 remaining lots for $510,000 and will use six of them to develop a neighborhood park.
