The city of Madison agreed to sell 230 acres of the Yahara Hills Golf Course to Dane County for $5.5 million, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The land will be used for a “sustainability campus” and be converted into a landfill, composting site, and business park. The current Dane County landfill, located near the golf course, is expected to run out of space by 2030. The sale is pending county approval.
