The city of Madison will issue a request for construction offers on Friday for the parking garage phase of the Judge Doyle Square project slated for two blocks in downtown Madison.

The new Capitol East ramp will be located next to the Madison Municipal Building and construction could begin as soon as October, according to a report in The Capital Times.

The existing Government East garage will remain open until the new ramp is completed, likely in 2019, but then it will be demolished to make way for the rest of the JDS project.
